Two non-Itsekiri Communities; Oka-Useni in Ikpoba-Okah Local Government Area of Edo State and Sedico in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, will go head-to-head in the final of the 2025 Olu of Warri Community Peace Cup, Fresh Angle International, can report.
The final, billed for Sunday August 17 at the Nana Model College football pitch, Warri, will be preceded by a classification match-up (third place match) between Bateren and Orugbo Communities, at Ubeji, Saturday August 16.
To qualify for the finals, Oka-Useni Community, defeated Bateren Community 4:2 on penalties, after a 1:1 draw, in one of the semi-finals, while Orugbo Community lost to Sedico Community 2:1 in the other semi-final.
The competition, which is the 10th in the series, began Saturday July 26 at Nana College pitch, Warri, when Igbogidi Community Football team, tackled their counterpart from neighbouring Orhuwhorun, in Udu Local Government Area.
32 teams, featured in the tournament played at four venues; Nana College, Yonwuren College, Ubeji Grammar School and Rice Farm, Esisi Road, all in the Oil City of Warri.
