Warri South Council invites applications for 2025 bursary scheme

The Executive Council of Warri South Local Government Area, have called on eligible indigenes of Warri South Local Government, to apply for the 2025 bursary scheme for students.

The call, was contained in a statement released Tuesday September 9, by Warri South Council Supervisor for Human Capital Development, Mrs. Misan Eke.

In the statement issued on behalf of the Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Comr. Agbateyiniro Weyinmi Isaac, Mrs. Eke,  explained that the 2025 bursary award, which is the second in the series, is for indigenous students of Warri South Local Government Area, who are in tertiary institutions.

While noting that the programme, was designed to provide financial assistance to deserving students of Warri South Local Government, who are currently enrolled in any government approved institution, she added: “Applicants must present the following

“1. Warri South Local Government of Origin Certificate (for verification of indigeneship).

“2. School Admission Letter (to confirm current student status).

“3. Wema Bank Account Details (as all bursary payments will be disbursed directly via Wema Bank).

“Mode of Submission

“1. Applicants should submit the required documents to the Office of the Supervisor for Human Capital Development, Warri South Local Government Council Secretariat.

“2. Alternatively, submissions may be made through the applicants’ respective Ward Councillors, who will forward them to the Council Secretariat.

“Submission Timeline

“• The submission of applications will officially open on Wednesday, 10th September, 2025.

“• Registration will be opened from Wednesday September 10, through to Friday 10th October 2025.

“• Late submissions will not be entertained.

“• All submissions must be duly acknowledged by the receiving authority.

“• Only applicants with valid Wema Bank accounts will be considered for bursary Payment.”
