Warri Brand Ambassador, 15-year-old McCarthy Oritsetseyigbemi Jessy, has emerged overall winner of the 8th Edition of the Hon. (Dr.) D. I. Kekemeke Essay Competition for secondary students in Ondo State.
Jessy, who was the 2025 winner of the prestigious NDLEA Inter-School Essay Competition and recipient of the Royal Iwere Foundation award, smashed over four thousand entries and came out the star price winner of Hon. (Dr.) D. I. Kekemeke Essay Competition.
Fresh Angle International, understands that the Warri-born McCarthy Oritsetseyigbemi Jessy, was presented with the award at the Atimati House, Alagbaka in Akure, Ondo State, Thursday October 30.
The title of the competition was ‘DO FOLLOWERS HAVE A ROLE TO PLAY IN THE MAKING OF GOOD LEADERS?
The Hon. (Dr.) D. I. Kekemeke Essay Competition, is an initiative established by Hon. Dr. Kekemeke educational foundation, to promote education in Nigeria.

Father of Jessy, Mr. McCarthy Oritsematosan Franklin, while reacting to the latest feat achieved by his daughter, stated: “This is more than a personal achievement — it’s a collective honour for Delta State.
