Trust Global Services Launches, Kidver and Donix-T, Quick Organ Recovery Drugs for Cancer prevention, others

Trust Global Services, formerly known as Ekenna Natures Ltd, based in Emene, Enugu State has launched two NAFDAC approved drugs, Kidver and Donix-T, quick organ recovery drugs to prevent some intractable diseases such as Cancers of all types, Kidney, Liver heart diseases and Diabetes.

The event which took place at the International conference centre Enugu recently, witnessed the gathering of professionals in medicine, pharmacy, law among others.

Industry watchers say the event was an affirmation of what Nigeria could achieve by adopting a scientific natural medicine or integrative medical approach for disease control and cure.

The event provided a platform where Nigerians were tasked to strongly reverse the trend of medical tourism to the benefit of all and sundry.

Declaring the event open, the Chairman of the occasion and CEO Juhel Nigeria Ltd, Dr Ifeanyi Okoye, said for 45 years in the Pharmaceutical profession, it was his first time he participated in the launch of naturally formulated drugs in Nigeria.

He applauded Dr. Ekenna for showing such ingenuity in alternative medicine; even as he insisted that government at all levels should rally round Pharm .Dr Ekenna so as to reverse medical tourism in Nigeria and also save lives.

He went further to posit that what really happened was as a result of commitment, resilience and determination exhibited by Dr Ekenna in solving the disease prevalence in Nigeria especially the ones people see as death sentence.

He noted that he has known Dr Ekenna for years during his early stages and vouched for the efficacy of the drugs even as he advised the public to avail themselves of such indigenous opportunity that Trust Global Services has offered.

On his part, the clinical drug reviewer, and former Health Commissioner, Enugu State, Dr Ekochin Fintan commended Dr Ekenna for his prowess in using natural plants and foods for drug formulation.

He said "we bemoan daily how there is very low production locally and so much dependence on imported goods, medications included"

Continuing he asserted, today we have gathered to witness an effort by Trust Global Services, (Ekenna Natures) to begin changing this narrative."

"A move to harness that which we have been gifted by nature and package it as a modern health agent.. Pharmacognosy..."

He noted that Trust Global Services was known for the mantra, “let food be thy medicine and medicine thy food.”

Dr Fintan added that phytomedicine is in all foods such as Tomatoes, palm Oil, Onions, Garlic, Oranges,Ogili,Pap among others even as he said that, "guys if you say you don't take herbal medicines then stop eating food from today."

Dr Fintan who emphasized that there were deluge of herbal extracts in Africa and Nigeria inclusive which according to him has generated a wide spectrum of dispositions among the masses including the ones who swear by them and those who criticize and others in the middle.

He maintained that such confusion stemmed from the fact that the local phyto -medication market has been developed by those he referred to as "non pharmaceutical entities and marketed unprofessionally."

He however decried the lack of peer review process, dose establishment, adverse effect reporting and ultimately poor buy- in by orthodox Doctors.

He reiterated that Trust Global Services has come handy to change the paradigm with their background in Nutritional Health practice as well as pharmacologic acumen to bridge the gap existing between phyto-medication production in Nigeria and adoption thereof by patients as well as health providers.

However, he likened the production of Kidver and Donix-T to the Artemisinin, which he said “the world has benefited from taking herbal preparation as tea in ancient China, then developed into tablets and finally into injectable." 

“If the Chinese had denied the goodness of Artimisin, where would the world be today in the treatment of Malaria?” Fintan queried.

He maintained that “by investing in these plants and openly sharing evidence of their benefits we not only honour evaluable ethnobotanical wisdom but also open new doors for discovering safer and more effective medicines for our health, economy and longevity "

Speaking to journalists on the sidelines ofthe event, Pharm.Dr stated that the thrust of his innovation in alternative medicine is to save mankind from deaths associated with chronic diseases such as Cancers, Diabetes, Heart, Kidney, Liver and other diseases.

Ekenna, who said the project, has been that of his personal efforts, however called on the government at all levels to come to partner with him.

"We thank God that we have launched the drugs. It is God and my personal effort, but am calling on the government at all levels to come and partner with us", he said

"The government should come and partner with us so that we can help ourselves, help Nigeria and the world in general."

Pharm Dr Ekenna, a graduate of Pharmacy from the University of Nigeria Nsukka and the Managing Director and Chief Executive officer of Trust Global Services, also used the opportunity to thank NAFDAC Director-General, Prof Mojisola Adeyeye for her proactiveness in leading the campaign for the integration of alternative medicine in Nigeria and her insistence on such medications going through rigorous scientific evaluations before usage.

Pharm. Ekenna has won several awards both national and internationally for his innovation and also has recently bagged a Doctorate Degree in Phytopharmacology from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Anambra State.

About Kidver and Donix-T, Dr Ekenna said those formulations were designed to mop up reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (ROS) and (RNS) respectively thereby inhibiting inflammatory reactions that would trigger necrosis and finally tissue death.

The cancer expert insisted that the drugs have capacity to correct abnormal parameters vis -a -vis, Liver function, Kidney function, lipids profiles ,CRP and even tumor marker levels of CA153, CA125, CA199 ,PSA, CEA and AFP."

His words: ;"These formulations therefore halt degeneration of diseases into full blown Cancer, Kidney failure, diabetes, stroke and hosts of other debilitating chronic diseases."

The event featured mind blowing testimonies from individuals who were cured of various stages of cancers, Kidney, Liver, heart diseases including diabetes.
