James Hope University, JHU, Lekki - Lagos and the Nigerian Institute of Social and Economic Research, NSER, have penned a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, aimed at facilitating joint research initiatives and academic exchanges in fields of mutual interest.
The agreement, which was signed in Lagos, Friday November 21, when the Director - General of NSER, Ibadan, Prof. Anthonia Simbine, paid a working visit to James Hope University, Lekki - Lagos, also entails the establishment of co - host policy dialogues, conferences, seminars and knowledge -sharing platforms that would bring together scholars, policy makers, practitioners as well as private sector actors, to interrogate emerging governance and policy issues.
The Vice Chancellor of James Hope University, Prof. Austin Nosike, told Fresh Angle International that the deal which would run for five years, can only be terminated by the parties in accordance with specific sections of the MoU, " upon a written request by either party."

Prof. Nosike, disclosed that none of the parties shall incur any financial or legal obligation on behalf of the other, except as may be expressly provided in the agreement.
