2 Senior Officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC (names withheld) were in the early hours of Sunday October 14 arrested for allegedly raping 2 mature girls at about 4am same morning behind Warri South local government council Sub-secretariat by Swamp road, Warri, Fresh Angle can exclusively report.
Fresh Angle gathered that the unidentified girls believed to be of Itsekiri extraction were coming from a night vigil when the NSCDC Officers accosted them, dragged them to a nearby caravan at the back of Warri South Council Sub-secretariat and raped them.
According to an eyewitness, the victims were able to identify the duo with the inscription at the back of their uniforms. The witness said that at the break of day, the girls went to the Central Hospital, Warri where the Medical Director confirmed that they were raped. They later went to report the incident to the police at ‘A’ Division, Warri and the policemen on duty immediately swooped into action and arrested the suspects.
When Our Senior Correspondent visited the ‘A’ Division of the Nigerian Police in Warri at about 2:35pm same day, an officer who spoke on condition of anonymity confirmed the story, noting that the two suspects will be charged to court.
