Given the fact that the land inhabited by the Obotie people is richly endowed with oil and gas facilities of national significance , if this matter is left without the necessary proactive attention could cost avoidable security challenges, a geometric surge in crime rate, loss of lives and property including the vandalism of pipelines.
We are constrained to do the extant letter of appeal in the fulfilment of our civil duty to report actual situations that may lead to security threats and breaches with a view to ensuring an enabling environment for socio-economic activities to thrive.

• The lack of Motorable Roads in Obotie Community has gave raise to the perpetuation of all sorts of crimes like kidnapping, vandalism and in most cases murder. Recently, a group of people invaded Obotie Community and they vandalized and carted away electrical wires and installations.
