Exactly 17days after handing down threat, Olero Creek Oil Field Communities in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State, have shut down operations of Chevron Nigeria Limited in the field, over perceived neglect by the company as well as the Federal and Delta State Governments.

Feelers reaching Fresh Angle International, indicate that shut down of Dibi/Olero Operational fields of Chevron Nigeria Limited, started in the early hours of today, Tuesday December 23.

Recall that the Chairman of Olero Oil Field Communities, Dr. Roland Ukuesan, had on Saturday December 6, during a media briefing in Warri, accused Delta State Government and Chevron Nigeria Limited, of continued neglect of Ebrohimi, Obaghoro, Tebu, Gbokoda, Aja-Amita, Udo, Jakpa and their satellite communities, calling for urgent provision of basic social amenities in the communities.
