PAP: You demonstrated reckless ignorance, Itsekiri Ex - Agitators fire IYC

Itsekiri Ethnic Nationality Ex - Agitators' Forum, has hit hard at the Ijaw Youth Council, IYC, Western Zone, saying the pro Ijaw group, demonstrated reckless display of ignorance, greed and ethnic bigotry in its publication, titled: " Re - Reckless Ultimatum By Itsekiri Group, Distortion of Niger Delta History And Matters Arising."

The Itsekiri Ethnic Nationality Ex - Agitators' Forum, in a statement made available to Fresh Angle International Saturday February 14, said it found it laughable that the IYC Western Zone, " ignorantly claims the creeks are exclusively Ijaw land."

The Itsekiri Ethnic Nationality Ex-Agitators Forum issues this statement to address the reckless display of ignorance, greed, and ethnic bigotry recently exhibited by the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Western Zone in their publication titled: " Re: Reckless Ultimatum By Itsekiri Group, Distortion of Niger Delta History, And Matters Arising". 

We find it laughable that the IYC Western Zone ignorantly claims the creeks are exclusively "Ijaw land" and that only Ijaws suffer environmental degradation. Such statements ignore the reality that the Itsekiri nation is a major oil contributor, accounting for approximately 35% of the national economy. We do not live in the sky; we live on the frontlines of the oil-producing territories, and our stakes are undeniable.

The "Gbaramatu-Centric" Administration of Dr. Dennis Otuaro, the Presidential Amnesty Programme was designed for the collective peace and progress of the entire Niger Delta region, not as a sectional empowerment scheme. While we have maintained cordial relationships with every PAP Administrator since 2009, the current administration under Dr. Dennis Otuaro has deviated from this path.

Rather than running an inclusive system, Dr. Otuaro has turned the PAP into a "Gbaramatu affair," weaponizing the program against the Itsekiri people. We will no longer tolerate the victimization of genuine Itsekiri beneficiaries due to personal or ethnic biases.

The claim that our forum is "faceless" is a desperate act of mischief intended to shield the current administration from accountability.

The Itsekiri Ethnic Nationality Ex-Agitators Forum consists of bonafide beneficiaries captured in the official PAP database.

Every member possesses a verifiable UNCODE (Unique Identification Code).

We are prepared to present these details to the Federal Government and the public to expose the lies being peddled by those attempting to delegitimize our struggle.

We reiterate our earlier challenge to Dr. Dennis Otuaro to an open engagement. We are ready to present facts and figures proving the systematic exclusion of Itsekiri beneficiaries from:

1. Foreign and local educational slots.

2. Vocational training programs.

3. Direct empowerment opportunities and monthly stipends.

We are not intimidated by the propaganda machine of the Amnesty Office. However, let it be known: we can no longer guarantee the protection of oil facilities within our territories if our rightful entitlements continue to be diverted or denied.

"A stitch in time saves nine." The Federal Government must intervene immediately to check the unfair management of the Amnesty Office before the relative peace in the region is compromised by the parochial interests of a single clique.
