The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, NUPRC, has alerted members of the public on the activities of fraudulent individuals, using tactics such as name-dropping and misinformation on social media, to deceive members of the public, under the guise of peddling contract offers, purportedly on behalf of the Commission.
The Commission, in a statement issued Monday February 16, warned those responsible to desist from the act, saying anyone who transacts with a third party, in order to gain an imaginary undue advantage within the NUPRC, does so at their own risk.
The Head, Corporate Communication and Media, NUPRC, Eniola Akinkuotu in the statement, noted: “To set the record straight, all contract processes at the NUPRC are done transparently and strictly in line with the Public Procurement Act, 2007 and other extant regulations.”
