Nda Aaron has resigned from his position as Special Adviser on Multimedia to Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, to pursue his ambition of representing Lokoja I in the State House of Assembly.
Our Kogi State Correspondent, reports that the development, which has generated reactions within political circles in the state, was confirmed by sources close to the former aide, who disclosed that he tendered his resignation on March 27, 2026.
Nda Aaron, a well-known media influencer in Kogi State, is widely regarded as a leading contender for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket. Political observers believe the early announcement of his intention reflects strong confidence in securing the party’s nomination.
His aspiration has continued to gain traction, attracting support from stakeholders, women, and youth groups—particularly Gen Z audiences on social media—who point to his visibility, engagement, and advocacy for societal development as key strengths.
A supporter, who spoke on condition of anonymity, described his candidacy as timely and strategic.
“We wish Nda Aaron the very best in this new chapter. He has shown capacity and commitment over the years, and we are confident he will represent Lokoja I effectively,” the source said.
The supporter added, “Lokoja I deserves a representative who understands the people and can amplify their voices. Nda Aaron has built that connection, especially with young people, and that gives him an edge.”
Another party loyalist noted that his political experience and media background could be assets in legislative duties.
“He has paid his dues in Kogi politics and beyond. This is not just about popularity; it is about competence and the ability to deliver. We believe he has what it takes to make meaningful contributions at the Assembly,” the party member stated.
A youth leader in Lokoja also expressed optimism about his candidacy, saying, “This is the time for a new generation of leaders to emerge. Nda Aaron represents that shift. His ideas resonate with the youth, and we are ready to support him.”
Observers say his entry into the race is likely to reshape the political dynamics in Lokoja I as the build-up to the next Assembly elections gathers momentum.
