The All Progressives Congress, APC in Warri South Local Government Area, has suspended Mrs. Uwale Egbejule Chigbo for one year, as an ex-Officio Member of the party’s Local Government Executive Committee.
The Chairman and Secretary of APC Ward 6 (Bowen Ward) in Warri South Local Government Area, Comr. Kenneth George and Mr. Paul Odjegba, respectively, noted that the suspension was after a careful study of the report and the recommendation of the Disciplinary Committee earlier set up by the party.
In a letter dated Thursday April 2 and addressed to Mrs. Uwale Egbejule Chigbo, the APC Ward 6 leaders, stated that it was established by the Disciplinary Committee that Mrs. Uwale breached Article 21(2) of APC Constitution, as it relates to anti-party activities.
“It has been established that you committed offence in Article 2 (i), 2 (ii) and 2 (vii) of the APC Constitution.
“Article 21 (1) Sub-Section (1) that gives members the right to fair hearing and also provides that the party Executive shall have the power to discipline members.
“The Ward Executive Committee thereby approve the recommendation of the Disciplinary Committee. This letter therefore, is to inform you of your removal from office as an Ex-officio member of the LGA Executive Committee Warri South and suspension from the APC for one year”, the letter, stated in parts.
