The newly elected chairman of Merry Friends Club of Warri, Amorighoye Japhet Eyengho (AJE) , says to be chosen is not a privilege, but a challenge, which he accepts with humility.

 

Eyengho, who made the declaration Monday May 4, shortly after he and other members of the new exco were inaugurated to serve the club for the next two years, said he accepted the responsibility with a deep sense of duty and commitment to serve.

He pledged to uphold the values of unity, transparency and progress, promising to listen to every voice, ensure open communication and focus on projects that benefit members of Merry Friends Club of Warri ( AKA Classic Men).

 

Eyengho, stated: " I am honored to stand before you today, humbled by the trust you have placed in me by electing me as Chairman of this association. I accept this responsibility with a deep sense of duty and a commitment to serve. To be chosen to lead is not a privilege, but a challenge — and I accept it with humility. I understand that leadership is not about titles, but about service, sacrifice, and results. I would like to express my gratitude to the outgoing executives for laying the foundation for our future success. Your work has enabled us to envision a brighter future.To every member of the club (both those in diaspora). I thank you for your engagement. We are a united family, and now the real work begins. 

" My commitment to you is to uphold the values of unity, transparency, and progress. We will listen to every voice, ensure open communication, and focus on projects that benefit our members and elevate the reputation of our association. I request your support, ideas, and constructive feedback to ensure our collective success. Together, we will build an association that future generations will be proud to inherit."

 

Other members of the newly inaugurated exco of the club, are : Noel Orowayinor; Secretary, Jemine Jones ( DJ O2) ; Organising Secretary and Jakpa Justice ( MC J) ; Financial Secretary.

 

Fresh Angle International, understands that Merry Friends Club of Warri, currently has 14 members, with five of them living in diaspora.
