The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, has gifted the technical crew and players of Pessu Primary School, Warri, one million naira (N1,000,000.00) for emerging champions of the recently concluded Zenith Bank, Delta state Headmasters’ Cup.
Our Co-Publisher/Managing Editor, reports that the Warri Monarch, gave out the amount in cash Thursday May 7, when the Chief Inspector of Education, Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Samson Ugbejeh led members of the technical crew and players of Pessu Primary School on a visit to the King.
The Olu of Warri, gifted each of the 22 players N20,000 each, the four coaches N50,000 each, Headmaster of the school N100,000, the game master N75,000, the Assistant HOD sport N85,000 and the HOD sport, went home with N100,000, totaling N1,000,000.00.

The Monarch, commended Dr. Ugbejeh “for the spirit of essentiality” following him, just as he congratulated the players and members of the technical crew for emerging champions.
The Chief Inspector of Education, Warri South Local Government, Dr. Samson Ugbejeh, had presented the trophy and bus won by Pessu Primary School, during the just concluded Zenith Bank, Delta State Headmasters’ Cup.

Dr. Ugbejeh, said he was happy presenting the trophy to the king, disclosing that it was the third time the trophy has been won under him as Chief Inspector of Education in different local government areas.
Whilst noting that Pessu Primary school won the trophy out of 7,000 schools that participated in the competition across the 25 local governments in Delta State, Dr. Ugbejeh stated that the cup couldn’t have been won, without him presenting it to the Warri Monarch, to get his blessings.
The Director, Olu of Warri Palace Administration, Chief Samuel Koko Omebeyinje, Chief Gabriel Awala, Chief Anthony Onuwaje and the Head Teacher of Pessu Primary School, Warri, Mrs. Grey Areben Gladys, were among dignitaries present, during the brief ceremony.
