Chief Ereyitomi, reportedly won the primary in all the 32 federal wards in Warri Federal Constituency, defeating Dr. Ekpoto Ekpoto Emmanuel across the three Warri Local Government Areas of Warri South, Warri South - West and Warri North Local Government.

Whilst stating that Chief Ereyitomi's emergence attests to his acceptance by APC faithful across ethnic and religious divides, Prince Emiko, a former Warri South Constituency 1 candidate of APC, expressed optimism that the peaceful atmosphere experienced Saturday, during the party's House of Representatives primary in Warri Federal Constituency and other parts of the state, would be replicated during the Senatorial, House of Assembly, Governorship and Presidential primaries of the APC.
