Warri Federal Constituency delineation fraud, began with Eric Omare, Mene alleges

Human rights activist and legal practitioner, Dennis Mene, has alleged that the Warri Federal Constituency delineation fraud, began when Eric Omare, approached the court against the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, " while deliberately concealing critical procedural facts."

Mene, who's the Executive Director of Global Network for Good Governance and Rights Concern Initiative, opined that Omare failed to disclose the non - multiplicity of the case as explicitly mandated by the Federal High Court Rules.

The legal practitioner, who made the allegation in an electronic statement made available to Fresh Angle International, Saturday May 30, condemned Eric Omare's statement on Arise TV, which urged INEC to immediately implement its controversial May 20,2026 delineation proposal for Warri Federal Constituency.

Mene's statement, reads: "I strongly condemn a televised statement made on Arise TV by Eric Omare, Esq., which urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to immediately implement its controversial May 20, 2026, Warri Federal Constituency delineation report.

"Eric Omare’s frantic push is a deliberate attempt to profit from a repackaged fraud masterminded by corrupt INEC officials led by Professor Rhoda, working alongside Ijaw leaders of thought and interest groups from the Gbaramatu axis. 

"I warned that this systemic manipulation has already sparked intense agitations and internal resistance, notably spreading into the Ogbe-Ijoh axis of the Warri South West Local Government Area (LGA).

"The Genesis of the Delineation Fraud as a structural fraud began when Eric Omare approached the court against INEC while deliberately concealing critical procedural facts. Specifically, Omare failed to disclose the non-multiplicity of the case as explicitly mandated by the Federal High Court Rules. This vital omission allowed the matter to advance erroneously all the way to the Supreme Court without the knowledge of interested parties.

 "Furthermore, stakeholders have consistently raised alarms over the geographic integrity of the data used. During a stakeholder review of an initial proposal presented on April 4, 2025, independent verifications revealed that the coordinates provided by INEC for the Warri Federal Constituency delineation actually fell into entirely different territories, including Ondo State, Edo State, and Udu, completely outside the legal boundaries of the constituency.  

"Despite total resistance from stakeholders who exposed these severe border distortions, INEC officials repackaged the exact same fraudulent data and re-presented it to stakeholders on May 20, 2026. Rather than allowing a transparent correction of these anomalies.

"Eric Omare appeared on Arise News in what has been described as a desperate bid to force INEC into immediate implementation without resolving stakeholder concerns.

"Consequently, I issued an urgent call to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to launch a comprehensive financial and criminal investigation into Eric Omare, Professor Rhoda, and accomplice INEC officials.

"We strongly believe that from the period of the Supreme Court judgment on this delineation exercise to this present moment, it has been alleged that some INEC officials has accumulated billions of Naira as illicit compensation for facilitating this fraud.

 "The EFCC must step in immediately to track these alleged financial flows, halt this subversion of the rule of law, and protect the electoral and territorial integrity of the Warri Federal Constituency from mercenary actors."
