The Warri North Chapter of Itsekiri National Youth Council, INYC, has called on Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori to stop the Ondo State government from annexing Aja - Ebighan, an Itsekiri community in Warri North Local Government Area, into Ondo state.
Chairman of Itsekiri National Youth Council, INYC, Warri North Chapter, Comrade Austin Dorsu, who made the call in an electronic statement made available to Fresh Angle International Friday August 21, opined that it was not the first time governors of Ondo state, have been trying to annexe Itsekiri coastal communities in Warri North Local Government Area.
Comrade Dorsu, averred that the Itsekiri youth leadership, will not allow other ethnic nationalities claim any jot of Itsekiri homeland, under any guise.
He stressed the need for Governor Oborevwori, not to play the ostrich, saying it was time the governor demonstrate commitment in protecting Itsekiri Nation from external aggressors.
The demand by INYC, came on the heels of peaceful protest by some Itsekiri communities last weekend at a security outpost of the South - West known as the Amotekun in Aja - Ebighan Community, Warri North Local Government Area.
