Labour Party Candidate for Warri Federal Constituency in the forthcoming 2027 elections, Comr. Christopher Omeresan Slater, has charged Warri Federal Constituents on the imperative of fighting for their freedom or “face suffering for another 8 years.”
The House of Reps Contender, who asserted that freedom is not free, said it was time to make changes and change must start with the electorates.
Our Co-Publisher/Managing Editor, reports that Slater handed down the charge Wednesday August 26 at Okere Community in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.
He explained that his decision to vie for the Warri Federal Constituency seat in the National Assembly, was occasioned by the ‘degrading day-by-day’ situation in Warri South, Warri South-West and Warri North Local Government Areas.

“I am running for the position today, because whenever I come to Warri, there are no changes, instead the town keeps degrading day-by-day and we claimed that we have leaders. People who have been fighting for these persons to represent them, have gotten nothing for more than 30 years.
“No more rotating of bad ruler-ship, the era of enslavement is over. They deprived our children good and qualitative education, no good schools, no good hospitals and health centers, there is no true governance in the grassroots.
“Come out with your voter’s card, which is the power in your hands, to vote and make sure to stand and protect your votes.
“I am happy that you people are ready, but you must show the readiness with action. The time to get it right, is now and I will appreciate if you all come together to make it happen.
“I beg you people to vote the Labour Party for House of Representatives, to be able to get the needed changes” he opined.

Delta State Chairman of Labour Party, Hon Imoto Mirabel, said it was time for the youth to take over, charging them to queue behind Comr. Slater in the elections.
Mr. Lugbe Bello, one Mr. Omagbemi and Mr. Ebisin Tuoyo, were among those that spoke in support of Slater’s candidacy.
