Former member of Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. ( Chief ) Matthew Poko Opuoru, has described late Chief ( Dr. ) Joseph Sisanmi Otumara as a political leader, with great impact, saying Dr. Otumara touched his life and mentored him.
Hon. Opuoru, recalled how the former Warri South Local Government PDP leader and later chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, guided him and played critical roles in his political achievements.
The ex - lawmaker, who made the declaration Thursday August 27, at Late Dr. Otumara's Warri home, when he led some of his political associates and loyalists on a condolence visit to the Otumara family, stated in emotion - laden tone : " He touched our lives. He mentored us, he's gone, but God knows best."
Dr. Andrew Megbele, who responded on behalf of the Otumara family, said Hon. Opuoru 's visit was very remarkable.
Dr. Megbele, expressed optimism that the impression late Chief Otumara left in the lives of those he impacted, would help fashion a greater tomorrow for people in the State and beyond.
Elder brother to the transited Chief Joseph Otumara, Mr. Gbubemi Otumara, Chief Otimeyin Adams, Chief ( Prof.) Israel Abido, Hon. Omimi Esquire, Hon. Griftson Omatsuli, Chief Charlie Etsaghara, Mr. Amah Agbajoh and Chief Richard Okoro, were among APC bigwigs present during the condolence visit.
