Youth President of Okere-Urhobo Kingdom, Warri, Comr. Emuaghogho Eburu, has told Labour Party Candidate for Warri Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, Mr. Slater Christopher Omeresan, that people of Okere-Urhobo, would vote candidates, not structure in the forthcoming polls.

Eburu, who said Okere-Urhobo Kingdom, has over 40,000 voting strength, urged Slater to see Okere-Urhobo as his home.

Our Co-Publisher/Managing Editor, reports that the Okere-Urhobo Youth President, made the declaration Wednesday October 21, when Slater Omeresan and members of his campaign team, visited Okere-Urhobo youths.

While stating that 2027 election would be the first time, he will be running for any elective position, the Labour Party candidate, said he is not being backed by anyone, just as he begged people of Okere-Urhobo to vote for him.

He restated the need for eligible voters, who are yet to pick up their voter’s card to do so, to enable them change the narrative of bad leadership.

At Ogunu Community, Warri, Slater, who visited the same day, told the elders in Ogunu that it was time to make the right decision, to avoid “another 8years of underdevelopment” in Warri South, Warri South-West and Warri North Local Government Areas.

Whilst the Deputy Unu' Ovwodo of Ogunu community, Chief Sylvester Udi, advised the House of Reps hopeful to follow the line of peace and not see politics as fight, the oldest man of Ogunu Community, Bishop Professor Udi, prayed for Slater’s success.

The Warri-born Labour Party Candidate, who also took this campaign train to Yoruba Community, Warri South on Thursday October 22, promising to work closely with women, if given the mandate.
