Kogi Obidient Movement accuses Women of impersonation, Condemns Alleged Smear Campaign

The Obidient Movement in Kogi State has condemned the alleged impersonation of its leadership by one Mrs Blessing Martins, who reportedly claims to be the Women Leader of the movement in the state.

In a statement issued on Saturday and signed by its General Spokesperson, Emmanuel Idakwo, the movement warned that it would not tolerate the unauthorised assumption of leadership positions or the use of its name to mislead members of the public.

The statement urged individuals who are not officially recognised within its leadership structure to desist from presenting themselves as representatives of the movement, exploiting its identity for personal publicity or lending credibility to what it described as blackmail, misinformation and propaganda.

It reaffirmed that the movement remained united and committed to its mission of rescuing Nigeria and building a country that works for all, insisting that its vision of a New Nigeria remained unwavering.

The movement also dismissed what it described as false narratives and misleading claims circulating about the town hall meeting attended by the former presidential candidate, Peter Obi, describing the gathering as highly successful.

It urged Nigerians to disregard what it called ongoing attempts to undermine the movement through blackmail and propaganda, and instead seek the truth.

The statement further called on supporters and members of the public to remain vigilant and steadfast, warning against attempts to sow division within its ranks.

It maintained that the movement would not be distracted by misinformation or intimidation, adding that its commitment to national transformation remained resolute."A New Nigeria Remains Possible," the statement concluded.
