Newly sworn-in Caretaker Committee Chairman of Warri South local government, Dr. Austin Uroye has announced the dissolution of all revenue sub-committees in the council with immediate effect.
Dr. Uroye who announced the dissolution immediately after receiving handing over note from the council’s Head of Personnel Management, Mr. James Kolo, declared that the council authority have not given authority to anybody or group to arrest people for illegal parking or obstruction, warning that anyone caught should be arrested and handed over to security agencies.
The new council boss explained that while his administration will do his best in the area of education, health, infrastructural, human capital development and other areas, its main focus as directed by Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan will be on environmental sanitation and security.
According to him, the environmental sanitation drive will see his administration bringing Warri which he described as the most industrialized in Delta State to absolute sanity, orderliness and proper organization.
On security, Dr. Uroye who is the immediate past secretary to the local government disclosed that his administration will create a template that will strengthen the existing peace in the area.
Earlier in his remark, the council’s Head of Personnel Management, Mr. James Kolo pledged the support of management and staff of the council to the new administration. He expressed optimism that the new administration will record success considering the experience of Dr. Austin Uroye.
Heads of various departments, representatives of the council’s branch of National Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE and some political leaders were present at the ceremony.
