General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye says the paramount interest of his ministry is to see that victims of the recent flood that ravaged parts of the country are resettled in their natural communities.
Pastor Adeboye made the disclosure shortly after donating food items and detergents to over 2,000 internally displaced persons at the flood resettlement camps at Ogbe-Ijoh, Warri South West local government, Delta State.
Pastor Adeboye who was represented by the pastor in charge of Delta Province 2 of the ministry in Warri, Pastor Olufemi Olumide, enjoined the victims to see their plight as opportunity to connect to God.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Camp Commandant, Mr. Matthew Poko Opuoru, Madam Carmy Peregba thanked the RCCG for the gesture and noted that the flood challenge has afforded the state government the opportunity of knowing that Nigerians love themselves, as a result of their free will donations.
Items donated by the church include 10 bags of rice, 30 cartons of Indomie noodles, 5 bags of garri, 5 bags of detergent, two gallons of 20 litres of palm oil, one gallon of 20 litres of vegetable oil, one bag of salt and two cartons of bathing soap.
