ARRANGEMENTS have reached an advanced stage for the historic storming of the oil-rich city of Warri by renowned gospel singers, Don Moen and Lenny Leblanc.

According to the President of The Glorious Fountain Ministries, Warri, Delta State, Rev. Igho Lewis Yegbeburu, other gospel crooners being expected at “THE ENCOUNTER” (A Live Worship Experience) are Nathaniel Bassey, Pastors Gweke and Onos.
Rev. Igho said that the event expected to draw no fewer than 5,000 persons to The City of Refuge, Airport Road by St. Mary’s Junction, will begin December 14th to December 16th, 2012.

He said; “Prior to this event we had the encounter before now. We had the first one in 2008.  Since 2008 till date this is the 4th edition of ‘The Encounter’ and we feel this conviction to take the message via music to the youths of our generation in a very unique way. First, we did it within ourselves and gradually we started inviting other guests. We have had the likes of Bishop Kelvin Bond, the multi Grammy award winning producer from America. He has produced the likes of Kirk Franklyn, Mary, Mary and Donnie McCluckings and others. And then we also had Paul Wilbur and Lenny Leblanc, and that was last year. For this year, we are expecting Don Moen, Lenny Leblanc and a few other artists like Nathaniel Bassey, Pastor Onos and Pastor Gweke.”

According to him, “The Encounter for us in Glorious Fountain Ministries is the main event of the year. So we put everything into it expecting God to visit the people. You know the coming of Don Moen is huge. Don Moen is an internationally recognized gospel artist with great impact all over the world. So the coming of Don Moen is going to make a great difference; but beyond from Don Moen, we know that the presence of the Holy Spirit is going to make a great impact.”

“I don’t want residents of Warri in particular and Deltans in general to miss this opportunity. I am sure, if you are told about it by somebody you are not going to forgive yourself. It is going to be huge, it is going to transform not just lives, and it is going to transform the city. We believe God for individual experience this visitation that is why it is called ‘The Encounter’. The Encounter for you may be a healing from a particular illness. For somebody else, it may be a financial breakthrough and for some other persons, it may be a total overhaul of the life of that person. But above all of this, we are expecting God’s presence to take over the city of Warri and of course there is going to be a great and mighty deliverance in Warri. We have need for development in this city; we have need for peace to be established, he stated”.

Rev. Igho added “The rate of insecurity in this city is alarming and people seem to think that when you come to Warri everybody would be carrying guns and all kind of weapons. But we believe that The Encounter is going to turn all of this around. People are coming from outside Warri, people are coming from Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja etc. I got a call the other day; somebody is flying in all the way from United Kingdom and United States because of the significance of this programme. It is going to be huge and life transforming. It is going to be the  meeting that will be the defining meeting for God’s people. It is really going to be a turning point for the people in Warri and Delta State is going to feel it. After The Encounter Delta State will feel that something huge has happened. It is going to help the economy because once you have peace restored people will have confidence. People expect something like this to happen in Lagos or Abuja, but it is happening here in Warri and we have got some calls asking us how we are making this to happen in Warri. And you know, not many people think good of Warri. So it is like the biblical saying, “can anything good come out of Nazareth?” And we are telling the world that something glorious is coming out of Warri, the oil city. It is not just going to be oil as in crude oil, but they are also going to encounter the oil of God, the anointing of God in the city of Warri.”

He predicted that “There is going to be economic boom. Quote me on that. There is going to be massive transformation. I trust God, that this is going to start after The Encounter. There is going to be massive transformation of the city of Warri in the sense of development. I am not talking about just construction of roads, it going to be massive. We trust God that companies will see the need to be established in Warri. We are going to have a lot of entrepreneurs; people are going to have ideas to set up their business because the scripture says “that there is a spirit in man and the inspiration of the Almighty gives him understanding”. the inspiration of God will come upon a lot of people in The Encounter  and they will begin to have workable ideas that will transform the city and Delta State in general.”

“The core message obviously will be looking unto the Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Yes, they will be communicating through music, but it is definitely going to be focused on drawing people back to God. A people without God are a confused set of people, he said.

On the security arrangements for the 2012 Encounter, the President of The Glorious Fountain Ministries said; “You know such an event of this magnitude would not be put together in one day. We are working seriously on that and for security reasons we would not tell you all of that. But I want to assure everybody coming that you are secured. Not just that we believe God that he is going to secure us, but he has given us the wisdom on what to do to make sure that we are secured. I also want to add that I will advise anybody reading this to make their way to The City of Refuge along Airport road by St. Mary Junction early on the 14th, 15th and 16th of December, 2012. You have to come early because if you do not come early you may not get a seat because people are coming from far and wide and you do not want to miss it.”
