Newly sworn-in Transition Committee Chairman of Warri South local government, Dr. Austin Uroye has charged members of the council’s transition committee to “embrace the people oriented programme of the state government” so as to enable people of the local government reap the dividends of democracy.

Dr. Uroye gave the charge shortly after inaugurating the Vice Chairman of the transition committee, Mr. Dafe Ikpuri, the Secretary, Mr. Eugene Ebisin and 16 other members at the Warri South council secretariat in Warri.

The new council boss reminded members of the transition committee of the onerous task before them and expressed optimism that with the support of the state government as well as the collective desire of members of his administration to work in harmony, a lot can be achieved in terms of meeting the yearnings of people of the local government.

While pledging to run an open door administration where hardwork, honesty and transparency will be given utmost attention, Dr. Uroye advised members of the transition committee to ensure that their oneness radiate to people of the local government.
Our Correspondent reports that other members of the council’s transition committee are: Mr. Davis Akhigbe, Austin Lori, Michael Ewetan Okerentie, Tsola Yonmireju, Eseoghene Eshalomi, Alex Edah, Ochuko Akporiaye, James Ejegigbe, Edwin Ekpobedafe, Glory Ayiwe, Ruwinor Lori, Femi Okorodiden, Pastor Gabriel Ogona, Kingsley Wilobi, Omawumi Tseke and Jerry Ogedegbe.
Secretary of the transition committee, Mr. Eugene Ebisin who responded on behalf of other members pledged to work in harmony with the chairman with a view to achieving the mandate given to them by the state government.
 The pioneer chairman of Warri North local government, Chief Otimeyin Adams, member of Delta State Waste Management Board, Hon. Kenneth Efejuku, Assistant Secretary of PDP, Delta State, Mr. Tunde Fregene, Chairman of Warri Political Forum, Hon. Omimi Esquire, PDP Chairman of Warri South local government, Mr. Amah Agbajoh were among party chieftains that graced the ceremony.
