Bomadi council boss, Olorogun solicits royal support

The Transition Committee Chairman of Bomadi local government area, Mr. Collins Olorogun has solicited the support of Pere of Akugbene Mein Kingdom, Pere Kalanama the VIII to maintain the existing peace in the area.

Mr. Olorogun who recently paid a courtesy call on the monarch, said he was at his palace to receive royal blessings and to identify with the traditional institution to enable him run an inclusive government. The chairman noted that the business of governance is herculean task, explaining that he would need the support of the Pere and the traditional institution to successfully pilot the affairs of the local government area.

The council boss, who was received on arrival at Akugbene by Prince Edon Americana and Roland Orie at the Akugbene waterside, told the Pere that the mandate of his administration is to focus on peace and security as well as environmental sanitation.

He assured people of the local government that his energies will be directed towards the maintenance of peace and security of lives and property.
 
Mr. Olorogun stressed that the lofty ideals of the state government will not be achieved without unalloyed support of the traditional institution and therefore called on the royal father and community leaders to always support the three point agenda of peace and security, infrastructure and human capital development of the state governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan.

Responding, the Pere who thanked the chairman for the courtesy visit expressed confidence in his ability to bring development to the local government.
The Royal father maintained that the palace will always give the necessary support to the present administration, adding that he will partner with the new administration to move the local government area forward.

While lauding the Head of Personnel Management of Bomadi local government council, Mr. Sunday Ekeremor for his prudent management of the council fund, the Pere advised other members of the Transition Committee to work harmoniously with the chairman for the overall development of the local government area, even as he enjoined them to uphold the confidence reposed on them by the people.

Those at the entourage include Vice Chairman of the Transition Committee, Mr. Earnest Tobi, the Secretary, Mr. Abonema Obale, Supervisors and other members of the Transition Committee as well as party faithful.
