A member of Medical Women Association in Nigeria, MWAN, Dr. Esther Akpojovwo has identified early sexual intercourse among girls, having several sexual partners, taking pregnancy preventive pills and making love with HIV infected persons as some of the causes of cervical cancer.
Dr. Akpojovwo who made the disclosure at the breast cancer, cervical cancer, HPV and other related diseases screening exercise organized by the Junior Chamber International, JCI, Warri at Our Lady Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, Jeddo in Okpe Local Government Area, Delta State, admonished women to go for regular checkup every three years.
According to the medical practitioner, cervical cancer kills faster than other diseases.

The President of Junior Chamber International, JCI, Warri, Rex Egbudu assured of continuous awareness on breast cancer, cervical and other related diseases.
Egbudu disclosed that the year 2017 is a year of better health in partnership with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which breast cancer and cervical cancer are incorporated in the 2017 JCI calendar.
He commended JCI Wari members and the Medical Woman Association in Nigeria, MWAN, for their support towards the success of the programme.
Dr. Ngozi Ali advised Women to eat balanced diet, avoid too much alcohol, do self breast examination to be conducted every month with Touch, Look and Check method, T.L.C and others to prevent breast cancer.
