“We are grateful to the UPU Northern California, USA for this donation to DELSU today. The items will go a long way in teaching and learning and we are going to use them for the purpose for which they are donated. Government alone cannot provide the needs of the University and so we are appealing to other well meaning Deltans and spirited individuals to emulate the kind gesture of the UPU, Northern California, USA. The people in the Isoko area are assisting DELSU greatly and I want to implore people around Abraka and Asaba areas to do more for the University and like ‘Oliver Twist' we are asking the UPU California, USA branch to still do more,” Prof. Arubayi stated.

While presenting the gift items to DELSU, Mr. Emmanuel Ntekume, the immediate past President of Urhobo Progressive Union, Northern California, USA said that “We are here to donate several items to DELSU in order to help our people go back home.”

According to him, “We know that government cannot do it all alone and we are aware of what our people need back home, hence we decided to assist DELSU by giving a little hand through this donation that is meant to make our students rub shoulders with their counterparts in any part of the world and advised the institution to make good use of the items.”
