The Chairman of Kokodiagbene Community in Warri South-West Local Government Area, Comrade Sheriff Mulade says he organizes the annual Peace and Unity Cup between communities in Warri South-West so as to foster peace and love among inhabitants in the area.
Comrade Mulade, an Environmentalist gave the explanation weekend at Kokodiagbene during the final of this years’ edition which featured Tebujor community vs Kurutie community.
While assuring that the competition will be sustained in the years ahead, Mulade noted that 22 players have been identified for camping following their exploits in the 2017 edition.
He solicited the sponsorship of government, well-to-do individuals and corporate bodies to enable the annual soccer fiesta grow and serve as veritable tool for football development in the coastal communities.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that a total of 12 communities including Kokodiagbene, Oporoza, Kurutie and Tebujor participated in this year’s competition.
Tebujor community which defeated Kurutie by a lone goal scored by one Osomo Fredrick in the 50th minute, went home with a prize money of N500, 000.00, while Kurutie received N300, 000.00. Kokodiagbene, 2nd runner up got N200, 000.00, even as consolation prizes were given to other participants.
Delta State Deputy Governor, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro who was special guest of honour at the event, commended Comrade Mulade for organizing the annual tournament.
He appealed to other good spirited individuals and corporate bodies to sponsor subsequent editions of the championship due to its bridge-build potential among different ethnic nationalities.
