Several densely populated communities in Warri South and Okpe Local Government Areas of Delta State may suffer prolonged darkness if feelers reaching Fresh Angle International is anything to go by.
The affected communities: Ubeji, Egbokodo, Ifie, Omadino, Obodo and Aja-Etan in Warri South Local Government Area and Jeddo, Ughotan and Ugbokodo in Okpe Local Government Area, all of which enjoy BEDC 33KVA line, have been in darkness for about five weeks running.
The suspected problem which affected 11 KVA lines in most parts of Warri and Effurun in Warri South and Uvwie Local Government Areas respectively, appears not to have solution in sight despite the epileptic restoration of power in the 11 KVA line.
A very competent source told Fresh Angle International Monday March 12 in a telephone chat that experts in the power firm have not been able to ascertain the exact cause of the total blackout in the Okpe and Warri South communities' 33 KVA line, even though there was assurance that Delta Broadcasting Service Warri, BON Delta Hotel as well Chevron will get their electricity restored Monday March 12.
