Delta State Chairman of Host Communities of Nigeria, Producing Oil and Gas, HOSTCOM, Hon. Benjamin Iwetan has challenged the newly inaugurated executive of HOSTCOM Itsekiri Chapter to drive development and empowerment to Itsekiri Nation, stressing the need to sustain peace at the community level.
Hon. Iwetan gave the charge in Warri, Delta State, Monday March 12 after inaugurating the Tuoyo Woligho led 19-member executive of HOSTCOM Itsekiri Chapter, which is saddled with the responsibility of administering affairs of the Itsekiri body for the next four years.
While admonishing the new executive to liaise with the relevant government agencies in the task of providing the needed development to Itsekiri Nation, Hon. Iwetan tasked them to carry everyone along , noting that part of their responsibilities include the constitution of local government chapter executive in Warri South, Warri North and Warri South-West Local Government Areas.
Responding, the new Chairman of HOSTCOM Itsekiri Chapter, Mr. Tuoyo Woligho, promised that his leadership will be loyal to constituted authority as well as Itsekiri Nation.
He assured that members of his executive will toe the path of peace and put Itsekiri Nation as well as Itsekiri communities first in all their endeavours.
