A group, Warri South Constituency 1 Forum, WSCF has called on former transition committee chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Augustine Uroye to join in the race over who becomes the next representative of Warri South Constituency 1 in Delta State House of Assembly.
Warri South Constituency 1 Forum, WSCF in a statement made available to newsmen in Warri, Friday March 23, posited that Dr. Uroye's experience as former Secretary to Warri South Local Government and ex transition committee chairman of the cosmopolitan council, make him suitable for the legislative responsibility.
The statement which was signed by chairman and publicity secretary of WSCF, Comrades Amorighoye Kelvin and Juliet Ofesi respectively, asserted that apart from Dr. Uroye's experience in the public service, his vast exposure in the business world, will be brought to bear in the initiation of bills and oversight function if given the mandate to represent Warri South Constituency 1 in Delta State House of Assembly come 2019.
According to the group, Dr. Uroye who has “remained loyal to the PDP despite no appointive and elective position since after bowing out as Warri South Transition Committee Chairman, is from the rural (riverine) area of Warri South Local Government”.
