I want to serve my people in higher capacity, Oboro declares


A frontline runner for  Delta Central Senatorial Seat in the National Assembly ahead of the 2019 general elections, Rt. Hon. Evelyn Omavowan Oboro has declared that her aspiration  is due to her passion and call from the people to serve  in higher capacity in the Red Chambers of Nigerian Senate.

 

Hon. Oboro who is currently representing Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives made the declaration Sunday May 6 at her office in Effurun, Delta State during a media parley held with online media journalists.

 

The lawmaker, while addressing the  media practitioners stated that Delta Central Senatorial District have not felt the impact of a senator representing the area for the past years, hence her burning desire to go into the senate to attract the much needed development to Delta Central.

 

Hon. Oboro who is also a lawyer, praised the online media professionals, saying they have overtaken the print newspapers through their speed, efficiency  and  fast news upload, which can be accessed anywhere in the world. 

 

According to her, she has sponsored more than 10 bills in the House of Representatives, two passed and assented  to.  Hon. Oboro listed the bills to include : Federal University of Petroleum Resources FUPRE Act and  legislative Power  bill, just she quipped that she has  moved so many motions that will attract the  much needed visible development  to her constituency.
