Delta State chapter of Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners,NARTO has warned against the parking of trucks along the Ugbuwangue axis of NPA Expressway, Warri, stressing that it will not take responsibility for any casualty likely to occur as a result of the unsafe parking of the trucks.
Delta State Chairman of NARTO,Prince David Iwere who handed down the warning in Warri, Saturday August 4 during a media briefing, noted that those who started parking their haulage trucks along the Ugbuwangue axis of NPA Expressway, close to NPA New Port, Warri are not members of the association.
Prince Iwere quipped that the warning became necessary following recurrent casualties recorded along the Niger Cat end of the ever busy NPA Expressway where tankers are parked.
While noting that members of NARTO, Delta State chapter have enjoyed robust business relationship with the management of Nigerian Ports Authority, Warri since June 16,1979 when the association began its haulage operations, Prince Iwere averred that they will continue to carryout their legitimate business with the highest safety standards at the designated park besides the NPA New Port, Warri.
