There is palpable anxiety among members of Peoples Democratic Party in Isoko land and Delta State in general as former chairman of Delta Board of Internal Revenue, DBIR, Mr. Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, will formally declare his intention to run for Isoko Federal Constituency Seat in the House of Representatives come 2019.
Onowakpo who was prematurely sacked by the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa administration in 2015 through the instrument of Delta State House of Assembly, enjoys massive popularity in Isoko Nation following his humane/ generous disposition and solid performance as chairman of DBIR, where new DBIR offices were constructed in virtually all the 25 local government areas in the state.
The former DBIR chairman and until recently, appointee of Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS had officially defected to the All Progressives Congress.
