Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi has stressed the need for residents of Warri South Local Government Area to clear their drains, saying it's a necessary measure to check flooding.
The Warri South Chairman while noting that clearing of drains will compliment efforts of the state government in the fight against flood around the twin cities of Warri and Effurun, emphasized the need for those living and doing business in the Ometan Street of Warri urban to as a matter of urgency open their drain to allow free flow of water to natural water channels.
Dr. Tidi enjoined landlords and community leaders to mobilize residents in their area to participate actively in tomorrow's environmental sanitation exercise, stating that the decision by his administration to reward the cleanest community in Warri is still on course.
