EPL Special: 5 stars who can guarantee their club’s champions league spot, By Anthony Ebule

True to our exclusive analysis prior to the commencement of the 2012/2013 English Premier League Season that Manchester United will clinch the title, the coast is now clear for the Red Devils to pick their historic and prestigious 20th title: The battle for now is which clubs will pick the 2nd, 3rd and 4th champions league play-off spot.

In our usual style, we’ve selected five stars that hold the ace in their club’s quest to ensure champions league spot in the 2013 / 2014 season.

Yaya Toure
This African footballer of the year is arguably the best player of Manchester City. Despite claiming second spot already in the EPL log, Manchester City inconsistent performance gives credit to the belief by the five clubs directly under them in the log that their position can still be over-taken.

Yaya Toure’s all round performance in terms of stopping the opposition’s attacking foray in the middle of the pack as well as creating and scoring goals for Man City will be key to maintaining their second spot.

Gareth Bale
Apart from Lionel Messi, Christiano Ronaldo and Radamel Falcao, Gareth Bale is definitely Europe’s most wanted property today. He is strong, quick, pacy, skillful, technically sound and blessed with the ability to shoot from any angle of the pitch.

To say that he has made Tottenham Hotspur an almost one-man team will be describing the obvious. If Spurs must qualify for champion’s league next year, then Bale must remain injury free and avoid suspension.

Theo Walcott
Theo needs a bit more consistency to be called a world class player. On his days, he is absolutely unstoppable. When Theo is at his best, only a few teams can prevent Arsenal from getting victory. He is one of the fastest natural wingers in the world currently, but needs to time his runs and finishing better to save Arsenal Champions league quest as well as increase his career profile.

Ramires
Despite all the talks about Juan Mata, Eden Hazard, Brazilian born Ramires is arguably the best performer for Chelsea. He brought the Blues back in the Champions league against Barcelona last season with a world class goal with 10 men aside his all round performance and scored an exquisite opening goal against Liverpool at Wembley in the FA cup final last year.

Ramires is industrious, has strong defensive ability, scores and create goals with his bursting runs and gives more than 100% when playing for the Blues. Chelsea’s hope of a Champions league position for next season rest on his shoulders.

Marouane Fellaini
Apart from Manchester City’s Yaya Toure, Belgian born Marouane Fellaini is the strongest and most combative midfielder in the EPL. When Fellaini is at his best, Everton is unplayable. He is aerially strong, defensive, create unconventional chances for Everton’s strikers and attack minded midfielders as well as score goals. He holds the ace for the Toffees slim champions’ league hope for next season.
