Chairman of Delta State Local Government Service Commission, Comrade Olumami Oyibo says he decided to float a political pressure group, ‘Option A’ for Okowa “to campaign vigorously to enthrone Governor Okowa of Delta State for second term in the 2019 general elections”.
Comrade Olumami Oyibo who is also patron of the group, gave the explanation during a media chat at Asaba, Delta State capital.
According to Comrade Oyibo, ‘Option A’ team has started the campaign by erecting billboards with the pictures of Governor Okowa as well as distribution of posters and handbills in Asaba and other parts of the state.
“Plans are already in place to extend the billboards for the campaigns to all the 25 local government headquarters of Delta State as well as door-to-door campaign at the grassroots to showcase the achievements of Governor Okowa”, he added.
Comrade Oyibo who also spoke to a cross section of politicians in Asaba, said the PDP has trust on Governor Okowa and want him to continue for second tenure, stressing that “Okowa has no rival”.
He called on all workers, labour leaders and all stakeholders who believe in Okowa to give him the needed support to enable him “to spread more dividends of democracy in Delta State. We also call on all Deltans who believe in Option A and the Governor to join the group through registration and together mobilize for Okowa 2019”.
