Full time member of Delta State Technical, Vocational and Education Board, TVEB, Ikem Smart says the Multipurpose Youth Training Centre at Egbokodo in Warri South Local Government Area will commence full academic/ training activities March this year.
Mr. Smart gave the assurance Thursday January 10, when he led key officials of Delta State Ministry of Economic Planning and the Multipurpose Youth Training Centre on a working visit to Chairman of Warri South Local Government, Dr. Michael Tidi.
He disclosed that efforts were on going to make the National Board for Technical Education, NBTE accredit the institution to a globally recognized certificate awarding institution, even as he noted that the skills’ gap noticed during a recent staff audit exercise at the centre will be addressed by the state government.
Chairman of Warri South Local Government, Dr. Michael Tidi expressed delight that the centre is about to commence full operation, noting that his administration is ready to partner the state government to ensure that the training centre actualize its full potential.
