In what looks like a scorn to the opposition, Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa says “God has confirmed my second tenure as governor” after March 2 election.
Dr. Okowa made the declaration Tuesday January 22 during PDP campaign rally at Otor-Udu, headquarters of Udu Local Government Area.
He listed construction of Ovwian Road at Ekete - Inland, construction of classroom blocks at Uvwian Grammar School, award of internal roads in Aladja, empowerment of youths/women as well as award of Orhuwhorun Township Road as some of his achievements in Udu Local Government Area that should warrant his re-election.
Chairman of Warri South-West Local Government Area, Hon. Taiye Duke Tuoyo at the Warri South-West PDP Campaign rally held at Ogbe-Ijoh, assured that they will deliver the council votes for Dr. Okowa, Sen. James Manager, Chief Thomas Ereyitomi for Warri Federal Constituency, Mr. Dennis Emomotimi Guwor for House of Assembly, Warri South-West Constituency and other PDP candidates in the forthcoming polls.
PDP Campaign Mobilization Committee Chairman for Warri South Local Government, Hon. Griftson Omatsuli opined, “they is nobody to be compared to Okowa in the state. Without Okowa there's no Delta".
Our Senior Correspondent reports that PDP stalwarts from Warri South-West, Hon. David Tonwe, Hon. Stanley Shaninomi, Chief Favour Izuokumor and Warri South-West PDP Chairman Mr. Johnbull Edema, promised to deliver the local government for PDP.
