Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi says his administration organized a special thanksgiving programme to mark one year in office, as a result of numerous achievements attained and the prospects of what God is to do for the council area in 2019.

The Warri South Local Government Boss who gave the explanation Wednesday January 30 at the Warri South Council Main Secretariat during the special thanksgiving put together by his administration, mentioned the “tremendous peace being enjoyed in the local government area, payment of backlog of staff salaries and ongoing dredging of Escravos Bar/Warri River” as some laudable achievements worth thanking God for in the past one year.

Dr. Tidi averred that the maiden Warri Economic Summit organized by his adminstration in 2018 “has helped to place Warri on the world map and the dredging of Esravos Bar is in top gear. SIFAS Group is the company that won the concession of the Warri Port, which was signed last week. They participated in  Warri Economic Summit and the value chain will cut across once their operations start”.

Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Warri South Chapter, Rev. (Dr.) Triumph Etaoghene in an exhortation, quipped that no matter the challenges one is going through, he or she ought to rejoice and be thankful to God.

According to him, any person or government that do not acknowledge God’s help, will not make progress in his or her endeavours.

The event witnessed prayers for the forthcoming elections, the country, Delta State, Warri South Local Government Area and entire managerment as well as staffers of the council among others.
