Pan Ocean reaffirms commitment to the provision of amenities to host communities

The Manager, Community Relations of Pan Ocean Oil Corporation, Mr. Olabanji Ajijola has reaffirmed Pan Ocean’s commitment to the provision of basic amenities to its host communities.
 
Speaking during the commissioning of some projects worth millions of naira in Edo and Delta States, Mr. Ajijola said that the company will not neglect its host communities in terms of provision of basic amenities.
 
He said, "the provision of these projects being commissioned today stems from the fact that as a socially responsible organization, it is expected of us to give back to the communities where we operate especially as these communities have cooperated with us over the years hence it is inevitable that our presence is beneficial to the people of these communities."
 
The projects commissioned include four water boreholes; nine cassava processing machine which will boost food production; a Corpers' Lodge and some water ratification projects. She said, "Some of these projects are located in Abe, Owe, Ugbakele, Ovade and some other communities scatter around our areas of operation in both Delta and Edo States."
 
Mr. Ajijola reiterated that the host communities should continue to support Pan Ocean by continuing in the path of dialogue in order to resolve any issues. He added that “the relationship between the host communities and the company is in the words of a very top management- a marriage that we cannot divorce”.
 
Leaders of the various communities where the projects were commissioned commended Pan Ocean Oil Corporation for their kind gesture and promised to put the facilities into good use, urging the company to do more in the years ahead for the existing relationship to be sustained.
