Anambra born Warri Wolves Captain, Azubuike Egwuekwe says the toughest striker he has played against is returnee Bayern Munich striker, Claudio Pizzaro.
The tall and technically gifted Super Eagles central defender with 13 caps made the revelation in an exclusive interview with Fresh Angle in Warri, Delta State.
Azubuike Egwuekwe, who has so far spent 5 seasons with Warri Wolves in Delta State and has been shortlisted by Coach Stephen Keshi in the 30 – man list for the FIFA Confederation Cup in Brazil as well as upcoming international friendly against Mexico and 2014 world cup qualifiers against Kenya and Namibia, said Coach Stephen Keshi has done a lot in improving his game.
The Warri Wolves defender who paired Joseph Yobo in most of Super Eagles qualifying matches enroute AFCON 2013 as well as partnered Godfrey Oboabona in the international friendly against Catalunya, a Spanish selected side, disclosed that he currently has 3 offers from Germany and another from Stoke City in the English premier league.
The Manchester United fan who is considering the offers tabled before him said his preferred destination for now is Werder Bremen FC in the Germen Bundelisga.
Azubuike who described Warri Wolves as the best football club in Nigeria in terms of players’ welfare played for OUK in Abia State, NPA Lagos before joining Warri Wolves.
