Armed robbers believed to be three in number on Friday May 3 shot dead one Samuel allegedly in his early 20s at Agbasa junction by Enemejuwa along Warri-Sapele road in Warri, Delta State over his purported refusal to join them for an operation billed for that day.
According to sources, the robbers who allegedly drove down on a Volkswagen Jetta car from the popular Ibo market end of Warri-Sapele road came down from their vehicle and shot Samuel twice on his chest and another part of his body, confirmed his death before zooming away towards the Warri Garage end.
Samuel who lived at Cemetery road came to Agbasa area to eat and was waiting to take a bus back home at about 9pm when the incident occurred.
A source said there was low traffic in the area when the incident occurred because the area is known for violent crime and immediately the robbers shot Samuel who we gathered used to drive them on their mission, vehicles and other passersby in the area scampered for safety.
