Bribery Allegation: Son of Ex Kogi Governor Cautions Politicians
Prince Mohammed Audu

Prince Mohammed Audu, the eldest son of first executive governor of Kogi State, late Prince Abubakar Audu, has admonished politicians to exercise restraint in their conduct, Our Kogi State Correspondent report.

Audu gave the advise while reacting to reports that he and other leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC have been induced to support the second term aspiration of Governor Yahaya Bello.

In a statement released on Saturday May 8, Audu cautioned politicians against excessive use of hard substance.

“The allegations leveled against Senator Muhammed Ohiare, Barr. Dangana Ocheja and myself are products of hallucinations that can only be induced by excessive use of hard drugs. It is only someone under the influence of hard drugs that will conjure reports that I was in a meeting to endorse the second term bid of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State. Alleging that I was induced with 50million naira is ridiculous. How can I stoop so low to endorse, talk less of working for the re-election of a Governor who is struggling to pay salaries and pensions? I have no physical relationship with the Governor or any member of his government. This is a man who has not deemed it fit to honour my late father, Prince Abubakar Audu who laboured for the office he is occupying today. Governor Bello once promised to name the State university after my late father but has failed to fulfil his pledge, three and half years after assuming office. He has not even deemed it fit to name a single street after him. The Governor never thought it wise to visit the family to condole us over the death of our father. I am not a prodigal son,” he said.

Prince Audu called on the people of Kogi State to remain prayerful and hopeful as he assured them of his unalloyed commitment to the growth and development of the State.

He assured that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, is aware of the yearnings of the people of the State and will ensure their expectations are met.
