The Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi has refuted insinuations that appending his signature as witness in a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, entered into between two investors: Partsmaster Overseas Limited and Finest Investment Limited, for the development of a-7,000 hectares of land and water from Warri South Council Area into what would be called Delta-Ukpokiti Industrial City, amounted to delving into land ownership issue.
The Warri South Council Chief Executive, noted that as a tier of government, his administration is anchored on socio-economic development and as such, will continually serve as enabler to genuine investors, ready to do business in the local government.
Dr. Tidi stressed that there was no community representation in the brief MoU signing ceremony held at the Warri South Council Main Secretariat, calling on people of the area to support projects of such magnitude, that are capable of creating thousands of jobs as well as decongesting Warri City Center.
