Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi, has described the portfolio of Commissioner of Technical Education assigned to Mrs. Gbubemi Ikolo, Thursday August 1 by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, as comparable to fixing a square peg in square hole.
Dr. Tidi stressed that as an educationist and former member of the State Universal Basic Education Board, Mrs. Ikolo would bring her experience to bear in Governor Okowa's resolve to revive technical education in Delta State, especially the recent promise by the governor to establish new technical schools across the state.
The Warri South Council Chairman, stated that the assigning of portfolios by Dr. Okowa so far in his second term, was a testament of respect for professionalism and determination to truly build a Stronger Delta State.
