The Chairman of the Asa-Orisa in Oyo, Oloye Oke Adejare Adisa, has called on Governor Seyi Makinde and members of the Oyo State House of Assembly, to enact a law that will make August 20 of every year, Asa-Orisa Day. 
 
He noted, “we have written a letter to this effect and it is before the Governor and the House, so we are hoping that very soon, August 20th will be a reality”.
 
He solicited the prayer and support of people of Oyo State, to enable the State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, succeed in piloting affairs of the state for the next four years.
                       
Our Oyo State Correspondent reports that Oloye Adisa made the call during a thanksgiving programme held at the palace of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, to mark the end of Asa-Orisa Day Festival.  
 
“We all want Governor Seyi Makinde to succeed and for him to succeed, he needs our prayer and total support to achieve his goals and take the pacesetter state to enviable heights. He has started well and he will surely end well with our prayer and support. Equally, I want to appreciate kabiyesi, the Iku Baba Yeye, for his unalloyed support towards we, the members of the Asa-Orisa Association Oyo and the preservation of traditional religion and culture”, Adisa stressed.
