Chief Whip of the Senate, Orji Uzor Kalu, has expressed anger over the current xenophobic attacks emanating from South Africa, especially against Nigerians, saying MTN @MTNNG, DSTV @DStv Ng. Shoprite @Shoprite NG among others, should be closed down in Nigeria.
The former Abia State Governor who expressed his anger Wednesday September 4, via his verified tweeter handle, stated, “there should be no reason to allow them to operate freely in Nigeria. All their enterprises deserve to be closed down, including MTN @MTNNG, DSTV @DStv Ng. Shoprite @Shoprite NG among others. In the spirit of brotherhood, we have supported them. Our doors have always been open”.
The lawmaker added, “how can any sensible person attack & set ablaze a fellow human being, just because he or she has a feeling to do so. But it’s time to retaliate by shutting our doors to them too. I personally commend President Muhammadu Buhari @MBuhari for dispatching a special envoy to the South African government”.
