The Chairman, House Committee on Trade and Investments in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Matthew Poko Opuoru, has felicitated with legendary Political Scientist and former Minister of Information, Prof. Sam Oyovbaire, on his appointment as Chairman of Delta State Advisory and Peace Building Council.
Hon. Opuoru who represents Warri South Constituency 2 in the State House of Assembly, expressed optimism that the exceptional political sagacity and global exposure of Prof. Oyovbaire, which was brought to bear as Chairman of the 2019 Delta PDP Campaign Council, will enable the 42-member Delta State Advisory and Peace Building Council, seamlessly achieve its purpose in-line with the Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa’s Stronger Delta Initiative.
The lawmaker was particularly delighted with the choice of Chief Emmanuel Okumagba as member of the Advisory and Peace Building Council.
According to Hon. Opuoru, apart from Chief Emmanuel Okumagba’s background as a Political Scientist and bridge builder in the Warri areas, he possesses the requisite experience and knowledge to work with Prof. Oyovbaire and other members of the council towards ensuring increased development as well as peaceful Delta State.
